Question: What is the U.S.A. Content of the einsulation® fiberglass pipe insulation?

Answer: The breakdown of our costs, by percentage is as follows:

35%		Chinese content representing the cost of the fiberglass, energy, labor, transportation to the dock and port charges in China
13.5%	Other foreign content, mainly the cost of ocean freight from China to the port of entry in the US
51.5%	U.S. content which represents the amount of money spent in the United States, including ASJ, SSL, Butt Strips, inland transportation, and GS&A.

Question: What is the length of the einsulation® fiberglass pipe insulation ?

Answer: 3 feet.

Question: Is the einsulation® fiberglass pipe insulation jacketed ? Are butt strips included ?

Answer: Yes. We ship the All Service Jacketing (ASJ), SSL tape, and butt strips from the United States to China. Each box contains the required number of pre-cut butt strips.

Question: Is the insulation size and thickness marked on the ASJ ?

Answer: Yes. We stencil one end of each pipe section with the pipe size and the insulation thickness so that each section can be readily identified when it is not in its box. This lettering is ˝" in height and is eventually covered up by the butt strips after installation.

Question: Can you supply ˝" thickness ?

Answer: Yes.

Question: Are your insulation thicknesses metric or standard U.S. ?

Answer: All the fiberglass pipe insulation that we ship to the United States and Canada are standard U.S. thicknesses that comply to ASTM C-585. The PVC fitting covers that you are already using will fit over our pipe insulation.

Question: How long will it take to receive delivery after I place an order ?

Answer: Usually you will receive a container 6 - 7 weeks after it is ordered. Many of our customers place standing orders with us and receive, for example, a regular shipment of 1 or 2 containers per week.

Question: How do you ship your fiberglass pipe insulation ?

Answer: We ship in cardboard cartons and in 40 ft "hi cube" containers. The outside dimensions of a "hi cube" container are 40'L x 8'W x 8'6"H. The inside dimensions are 39'6"L x 7'8"W x 7'10"H. The contents of a "hi cube" container are approximately two-thirds of a 53 ft truckload.

Question: How much time will we have for unloading each container ?

Answer: Two hours. If you take longer than two hours the cost is usually $50 per hour.

Question: What is "nesting" ?

Answer: In order to maximize the amount of fiberglass insulation that we load into a container we need to "nest", for example, a 6" x1" pipe section inside a 8" x1". We also ship some empty boxes in each container.

Question: How can we calculate a full container quantity with "nesting" ?

Answer: It is best to let us do it. Please fax to us your desired bill of materials and we will calculate the optimal nested quantities to fill a container. We will fax this back to you for your approval.

Question: What is your monthly capacity for fiberglass pipe insulation ?

Answer: At the present time our capacity is approximately 50 x 40' hi cube containers per month of fiberglass pipe insulation.
